Acumen Methodology: How Decision Intelligence Is Calibrated
How Acumen builds AI personas from your traditional research, calibrates synthetic audiences against real-world data, and reports fidelity per project — published openly so you can evaluate the methodology before talking to us.
The two-layer calibration model
Acumen calibrates synthetic audiences against two independent layers: grounding in your traditional research, and benchmarking against external real-world data. Either layer alone produces a model that drifts.
Layer 1 — Grounding in your traditional research
Every persona Acumen produces is grounded in commissioned panels, syndicated subscriptions, prior qualitative work, behavioral data, and proprietary first-party signals you bring to the engagement.
Layer 2 — Real-world benchmark calibration
Outputs are benchmarked against syndicated category data, regulatory filings, and behavioral signals — so the model is anchored to reality, not just to the data you supplied.
Per-project fidelity reporting
Every Acumen engagement ships with a calibration appendix — the data sources used, benchmarks used to validate, and residual fidelity score per audience. Standard, not premium.
